World Tai Chi & Qigong Day

Monday 12th April 2010
An unprecedented global health and healing event  will unfold across the planet on Saturday, April 24th, 2010, 10.00am worldwide. On the last Saturday in April of every year people in hundreds of towns and cities, in over 60 nations, and all 50 US States come together to create a global Tai Chi and Qigong (Chi Kung) energy wave as the Earth turns. All are invited to participate. These are Free to All public events hosted by local teachers and students offering people everywhere a chance to learn about Tai Chi and Qigong in their area and to join in a world wide healing collaboration. Take a break from your usual Saturday morning shopping and join with others in the The Castle Grounds, CRICKHOWELL for a short World Tai Chi & Qigong Day event 10.00 am - April 24th.  For more about WTCQD: www.worldtaichiday.org  The event is set to begin in New Zealand and will spread time zone by time zone across the globe through 60 countries across 6 continents. Set in parks, gardens, and community centres around the world this healing wave will be a joyful visual sight. It will also promote calm and wellness worldwide through large and small gatherings in each country to educate the world about the benefits of practicing these gentle and enjoyable Tai Chi and Qigong exercises. Now in its eleventh year World Tai Chi & Qigong Day has two distinct aims: Introducing millions of people worldwide to the profound health and healing benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong (Chi Kung) and to how they can help to heal both the individual and society at a time of massive spending on medical care for stress related illnesses. Bringing humanity together across racial, economic, and geopolitical boundaries each year to wrap the earth in a healing wave of energy creating a vision of what is possible when we focus on health and wellbeing.
Please feel free to contact Dek Leverton 01495 723597 if you would like further information. This global event has now been recognized by the United Nations World Health Organization.
