Cyril Teasdale
After commuting to and working in the City of London for thirty years. Cyril took early retirement in 2001 and moved to Crickhowell. He and his wife had been visiting the area for holidays since the early 1970’s and had always had the “plan” to become a more permanent fixture.
After spending the first two years of retirement rebuilding their cottage on the outskirts of Crickhowell Cyril and Ann were recruited into the world of Dial a ride. This led to more and more involvement with the “Meals on wheels” and “Community Car” schemes both of which are administered by the Crickhowell Volunteer Bureau. In 2003 Cyril became chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Volunteer Bureau.
In 2005 after attending a meeting outlining the ambitious new project that has become CRiC Cyril was invited to become a director and has been an active part of the team that ensures the smooth running of the diverse operation that CRiC has become.
Finally, Cyril has now joined the Board of Trustees of “The Market Hall Trust” that has restored the Crickhowell Market Hall to its former glory.
