The Society was established in 1977 and since then has continued to maintain an annual programme of talks, trips and events. New members are always welcome. Annual membership is �2.
Crickhowell Choral Society was founded in 1981 by a local GP David Hiley who persuaded any of his patients who said they could sing to join him in creating a choir. From this small group, many of whom are still members, a strong society of some 50 to 60 singers has evolved.
The Choral Society's annual Festival, which takes place during the first weekend in May aims to promote refreshing performances of exciting repertoire amidst the beautiful scenery of the Usk Valley.

Access to the school is via Llanbedr Road (turning north off the A40) and then follow Oakfield Drive to its end.

Crickhowell District Archive Centre is a treasure trove for family history hunters researching their roots. Run by volunteers, it was set up in 1999 by a group of local people in Crickhowell spurred on by a growing interest in genealogy. Open mon-sat 10am-12.30pm. Visitors can research in the archives or be helped in their investigations by the volunteer(s) of the day, according to their needs and apart from photocopying and Internet access - there is a small charge for this. A research service is provided for those unable to visit in person but charges also have to be made for this, to help cover the cost of running the Centre.
Probus Clubs are social clubs for retired professional, business and other people - the only stipulation being that you should be fully or semi-retired!
Although Probus Clubs have a World-Wide presence, each club is independently run, with no over-all "umbrella" organisation to control or administer individual clubs.
The Town Council meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month in the conference room of the Crickhowell Resource & Information Centre and are open to the public.

The Crickhowell Volunteer Bureau is situated in the centre of Crickhowell town and covers the area of Crickhowell Town and the surrounding villages of Bwlch, Cwmdu, Vale of Grwyney, Llanbedr, Llangattock, Llangenny, Llangynidr and Tretower.
A community interest company working in partnership with local businesses, organisations and individuals to develop a more sustainable future for our village. Our focus for 2010 is the British Gas Green Streets competition. This year-long project will see Llangattock competing with 13 other communities across the UK to deliver against 3 key targets: saving energy, generating energy and community engagement.
St. Edmund�s Church is set in the delightful market town of Crickhowell, in the Usk Valley, Brecon Beacons National Park. The church was built at the end of the 12th century and is cruciform in shape and surprisingly large. Two stained glass windows depicting The Flight into Egypt show the Angel Gabriel leading the Holy Family to safety. The church also houses a Holy Icon of the Resurrection. Ancient effigies of the church founders Lady Sybil and Sir Grimbald Pauncefote, lie on either side of the Sanctuary. The church is open every day to visitors from 9am until dusk.
